1988 85HP Force No Spark Issue possible trigger ?

Cleaned all the grounds saftey switch good
Checked all wires,New plugs.Is the trigger resistance taken right from the strip w/ everything connected? Or do the wire have to be disconnected.
Orange to green was good 48 ohms but green to red was 1.2 so I'm pretty sure thats the problem.
Stator was 700.
I plan on replacing the trigger & flywheel key. any thing esle to do while the wheel is off

outboardignition.com has procedures.Yes I believe the connections need to be un-done.
