If you have the boat I'm thinking of, they used several styles, one was flat and tinted, the other was more of a bubble shape.

You can bend Lexan much like bending sheetmetal but making a bubble isn't going to happen at home.

You can probably buy replacement windshields for that boat at:

By the time you buy the Lexan and all the time into it, it's probably cheaper to just buy them already made.

yeah its supposed to have the bubble type. I understand that i may not make them at home that way.

the store you pointed out lists the windshields but they list different sizes for port and starbord sides. hmmmm

it looks straight forward to just bend and cut them, any info on what size thickness to use. and do you heat it up with a heat gun when bending.

there was a link to some instructions on here once, anyone have that.

thanks

Lexan bends much like sheet metal in a brake, but you have to heat plexiglass.
I've used a siding brake to bend up a few center console windshields and one for a Bayliner 1910. I used 3/16" for ease of bending, but 1/4" would be more durable.
I'd call them to see why they list different sizes if yours don't match the specs.

I've been running one boat now for a while without a windshield, and have gotten to like it that way, it's one less thing in my way, I have better visibility and the boat don't get pushed around as much by the wind while fishing.

I have one of these boats, an '87. The windshields are long gone. When I first got it a couple of years ago I looked around and found someplace where you could buy the original windshields, but they are getting very few and far between. They were way expensive, like $300-$400 per side, so I'm just running without them. If you're interested I'll try to dig up the place I found them and let you know. If you're able to get something custom made, let us know where and how much it ends up costing you. I don't think I've ever run across anyone with one of these boats that still has the original windshields intact.

i just made a plexiglass windshield for my center console and it looks great! here is how i did it.... i used a clear 4'x2'x.220 that i purchased from home depot. I measured from the center out to get my bend lines leaving a half inch past the console on each side. i put the plexi between two 2x10's and used c clamps to hold together. I put the line right on the edge of the 2x10. i used a multi temp heat gun set at 1000 degrees. i slowly moved the gun back & forth pointing the gun at the line about 1 inch from it. The 2x10 made a great resting point for the tip as i moved it back and forth. it took about 10 passes and the plexi started to bend (You will need a helper). have your buddy slowly bend the plexi down while you continue to keep the heat going back and forth. Once it is in the angle you want take the heat off and let cool (mine was 90 degrees). Flip over and repeat process. I used a variable speed jig saw to make my cuts with a medium blade & medium curve blade. It works best if you have a varible speed because if it cuts to fast the plexi melts. I used a regular wood drill bit to drill the holes on slow to medium speed. I touched up any rough edges with a drummel ground stone.

Keep the plastic coating on both sides and use scotch tape if some is missing. this will allow you to mock up your plexi w/out marks and help eliminate scratches.
