Hey Century crew,

I'm a begginer boat from Maine that picked up an older bronco to start with. I've found through some internet searching that older century owners are a fairly rare breed. If anybody knows where I can find some info/specs on my boat it would be greatly appreciated. Most importantly if anyone knows an easy way to replace wireing for the bow light when there's no old wires to chase that would be great too. thanks.

The "NEW" Century Boat Company down in Florida has some very generic information on their website for a variety of their boats. Otherwise you can go to the century boat owners website and find out some more intricate details concerning your ride.

As for fishing new wiires when there are no originals, that can be tough on any type of bowrider. You can try a steel fish tape (available at just about any hardware store but the wires will end up just loosely strung through the area if you're even lucky enough to get the tape through the blind area.

To do it properly you will have to cut some access holes into the blind areas then install deck plates to cover up the sin. Century and several other mfg's were a bit complacent when it came to properly routing and supporting wire bundles.

I may be a little picky since I come from an aviation background but the last thing any boater needs are sparks flying due to chaffing wires of bundles. (especially in confined spaces where fuel fumes may gather)

The wiring should be supported with proper clamps, standoffs, etc. approx. every 6 to 10 inches. Especially the high current wires.

Good Luck,
