Can't make out serial number as tag is too worn. Just wondering if fuse is under dash or somewhere on motor. Trim does not work nor does starter. Not even a click. Also, no dash gauges work.

Welcome aboard, Larry.

Did it all work OK and quit? Good battery and clean battery connections?

It all quit after I replaced one of the trim solenoids. May have shorted something out. Also, the motor will start if ignition switch is on when I cross the solenoid posts. Same for trim/tilt. So power is getting there just not thru the solenoids.
Again, none of the dash gauges work either. The motor is on a 1988 txs 17 bass tracker if that helps.

As an added note, I have installed a 3 pole toggle switch to work trim/tilt and a remote starter switch for the motor so I'm ok to go fishing. It's just inconvenient but mostly puzzling as to what happened.

It's difficult to find much without a serial number. Look on the block for a stamped number, not a raised casting number, or a disc/welch plug with the serial number.

Are the solenoids on the motor? Look in that area for a fuse holder. It may be an inline glass fuse holder or a covered plug with a blade fuse. Look all over the motor for the fuse holders/fuse plug. Tracing red power wires should lead to fuses.

This is a 45 hp motor and solenoids are on motor. I found the serial number plate but can only make out last 4 nos. 5631
Will keep looking for fuse. Thanks for your help anyway.

Since this boat has 3 tilt/trim switches (one on back by motor, one on throttle control, and one on front by trolling motor) and since ignition switch is also by throttle, couldn't the fuse for these be in fuse panel under dash? Just guessing and hoping!
