I have a 1988 150HP Evinrude that has been rebuilt about 3 years ago. I remove to main battery and charge it via battery charger and reinstall battery. When engine starts volt meter reads full charge about 14V. After about 2 hours of usage the volt meter drops considerably and doesnt recharge. I took battery to be tested and no problems found. I thought maybe something was pulling down battery so did test by turning on and off equipment to see if anything is shorted or drawing too much current. Test shows everything normal. I was told that possibly bad stator causing bettery to not be recharging. If this is so I want to know how involved this could be and how costly. Is there some type of manual that shows this procedure that I could download or something if this happens to be the case. Please let me know.<br /><br />Thanks
