You need to buy a repair manual, it's a good investment. Clymer is better than Seloc, you can find them on IBoats and also Ebay.

Very good advice, not good to try any repair without a manual.

trim tab is the small fin behind the propeller most likely not pointing exactly straight, or the exhaust snout (same location) should be a bolt under or inside it. you will have to disconnect the shift shaft, do not remove the pivot screw. pump housing will be on top of the lower unit after you drop it down, check the pump housing and wear plate for wear, slide new impeller onto shaft, press down on the pump housing while turning the driveshaft clockwise, do not spin backwards, ever. You can put some grease in the pump housing so the impeller slides in better. T stat should be in a housing on the top/back of the powerhead, mine is just a square box above the top cylinder, 4 screws and a gasket.

Don't try it without a manual though, and lean toward the clymer, I have the seloc and it has many discrepancies and is sometimes vague.

Don't run with thermostat.
It will run cold and cause you grief.

I Live In Florida I Only Use My Boat In Lakes And The Water Is Pretty Warm Most Of The Time. Is It Really Necessary To Have The Thermostat:)

t stat is under 20 bucks for your motor, and I see it as 130 degree stat. so unless your boating in 110 + degree water, I would spend the 20 bucks.
