Hello everyone, My '88 force 50HP idles fine and operates at about 130-140 degrees at idle and in first gear (I installed a cylinder head temp guage to monitor the temp, thankfully). I have mist coming out of my exhaust port as well...when I go full throttle to plane off, the temp rises fast and it will overheat if I do not back off to about 50-60% on the throttle...at lower rpms, the cooling is fine...now the kicker..if I slowly accelerate up to full throttle ( giving it a little more throttle incrementally and slowly) operating temp runs normal 130-140 degrees and I can run WOT for a long time, no problems...so is my water pump/impellar getting stuck or frozen? is there a blockage? or do I have a more serious problem? Thank you in advance for any help!
