make sure to file the points with a points file or you can use your wifes nail file
use the gap as a rough set
use the dwell meter to get you dialed in

the easiest way to do it is to hook up a dwell meter and a remote starter switch, crank the engine over while watching the meter, set it at the lower end of the dwell range because this equates to a slightly larger point gap; they will stay in spec longer.
