1988 Johnson 225 VRO Plug Gap

Can anyone tell me what the spark plug gap should be for this engine. Also are there any better plugs than the standard Chanpion?<br /><br />TJ

Standard plug QL78YC, alternate QL77JC4 .030 gap,<br />Champion.
