I just bought a 1988 Johnson VRO. Does this motor have any alarms like overheat? One other question, on the control there is a small elec. plug, below the switch, any idea what this is for?<br />P.S. 50 HP
Yes, it does have alarms. You need to get an owners manual that tells what each sound means. Usually a constant alarm means overheat. <br />That plug on your control box is where an OMC tachometer would plug in.
