Hey folks.
The primer bulb will no longer pump up and stay hard. I have changed it out, it didn't help. I cut the line tips everywhere to expose new lines, and reclamped them all.
I had the carbs were cleaned out, which fixed a problem with idling. They were gummed up. I replaced two small pieces of fuel line which were leaking on top of the bottom carb. Also the automatic oiler was removed months before any of these problems arose.
Any ideas.
Thanks.

Did you change out or check your fuel line connectors? You may have some trash in one of them as well.

Take the fuel line off of mtr, pump your primer bulb to see if your getting fuel. Pinch off the fuel line and see if the bulb gets hard when pumping again. If it does you got a leak in your mtr.

well stated boobie. if it holds pressure with fuel line clamped before carb then check needle and seat. with no then there is a leak, listen and you will find it.

A remote possibility: That engine may have plastic fuel bowls on it. They warp with age and will leak fuel, also air. If so, it is possible fuel is leaking out of the carbs bowls where they seal to the carb body. You should easily be able to see fuel leaking into the lower cowl when you are priming the fuel hose bulb.
