1988 johnson gt150 warning buzzer on.

had it out the other day buzzer came on constant. i shut off engine, anchored and let sit for around 30 min. started again buzzer off.
looked around on forums with similar problem. i figured it for running hot. took thermostats out one looked nasty the other clean. boiled them and the clean one seemed to work better (opened sooner closed faster).
ordered new ones. wanted to test so i gutted them and ran it yesterday. the buzzer didnt come on for a couple of hours. thought it was good. i fished an area for 30 min with motor off using trolling motor.
when i went to leave turned the switch on (motor off) the buzzer came on stayed on. i took the hood off and disconected the temp sensors. buzzer stayed on.

i saw where they said it could be fuel restriction. could that couse the buzzer to come on with switch on motor off? what part on the fuel system is in charge of the buzzer duty? (the vro is disconnected with lines plugged and wires cut)

vac switch at fuel pump.

so this vac switch. is it bad or is there a low fuel problem.

check the vac hose from block to switch, it has to be clear.
Check switch itself. Get the buzzer buzzing and start disconnecting sensors to find the problem.

If buzzer stays on even with a cool engine it could be the vro pump wiring is grounded or not connected right, check that closely.

When I hooked my engine up this yr the buzzer was constantly on soon as I turned the key, turns out I hadn't connected the VRO pump plug.
Unplug and clean connections in plug. Ya never know.

UPDATE: have had it out twice since last buzzer. ran it hard, has yet to come back on. .... armed with the knowledge to diagnose it and it wont act up.?!
