Our 2nd boat in 3 months.. 1988 16' Marlin Bowrider.. (We quit working on the 16' Four Winns, [w/ bad upholstery]), when we spotted this Marlin with good upholstery for free).. We cobbled together the one good short block w/ an overhauled head and the good stuff off 2 1/2 3.0L engines.,. Starter carb fuel pump etc... (and Alpha1 Gen 1 w/ new impeller), and we're ready to do an engine start, (when it stops raining.. lol).. But.. Our biggest problem seems to be lurking.. We need a complete (walk thru), windshield. We checked a local boat wrecking yard and no luck. It needs to be 70" across from side to side, at the front corners of the windshield (where it attaches to the boat). If we find one even close, we'd consider doing our own modification on maybe one of the panels. Attached one pic of the 'new' boat and a couple of generic '86-'88 Marlins. Would greatly appreciate any 'leads' to finding a windshield. Thanks in advance. JG

Which boat wrecker did you try, and where are you located? Lanier Marine Liquidators in Dawsonville, GA has a ton of boats...that's where I'd try. Otherwise, you may be looking at finding something close and making it work. Taylor Made Boat Windshields may have something, but I hear they are pricey.

Use the one from the 4 winns. Most likely the pane dimensions over the consoles are close. Then narrow or widen the center pane as needed. A good glass shop can do that
