Howdy folks, hopefully this is not a redundant question... have searched and have not found the answer yet... hence this posting... also, still quite a rookie with this stuff, and will probably blow it on some terminology... lots to learn still...
Ok, regarding the tilt/trim .... noticed that my left side one is dripping a bit... have had the boat sitting for approx 2 months, engine tilted up... and the left one (passenger side?, Lol) has a small stain on the ground... I "think" though the leak is from the top of that though... but, that leads me to 2 questions:

1.) How can I check the hydraulic fluid (as I want to take it out this weekend) to ensure its not too low (as I know I need to fix it)...
2.) If I need to top it off for now (again, appears to be a very slow leak), how and where?
And what kind of fluid should I get?

I really need to get a manual of some sort, I need to know where and how these things work... I have tried to look for diagrams etc that explain what "things" are, for both this motor and the "outdrive"(?)... so I can at least perform some of the services etc myself... and at least change the oil and plugs etc.

The engine seems easy enough, oil dipstick on top... I get that, lol.
Then, the outdrive(?) will need to have fluids checked as well, and seems folks talk about these little screws on the side and checking a dipstick on top?
Am assuming their is a way to check the hydraulic fuid for the tilt/trim - just don'w know where/how? Any good diagrams for this stuff online? I have looked, and will keep looking but nothing great yet.

A Thanks folks for any and all assistance and advice. I appreciate it.

Anyone ever do an seal replace/repair on one or both of their tilt/trim cylinders? Was it a pain? Do you need to drain the fluid from the box etc?

Thanks again folks.
