1988 paint color?

I have an 88 evinrude 70hp and need to repaint the cowl. Its an aqua color. The best i could find said "silver-blue" and gave me a paint number. I ordered the paint number, got the paint, says "silver-blue" but the cap is anything but a shade of blue, its just straight silver..... i'm at a loss here.... help

edit: i just talked to a friend who said the color variation is probably just 25 years of sunlight.... so maybe it is the right color...

so i took the handle off the top, sanded that down to white, and then scuffed up and smoothed up the top half of the cowl (the rest is dark blue with decals) and then painted. That paint is super metallic and very crappy coverage. It took me almost the whole entire can just to do a cover up of the top half and the white handle..... if i ever get around to the rest of the motor, l/u and such, i'm gonna need a lot more paint :D
