1988 'rude 140hp looper head bolts...

Hi all, I've just replaced the two head gaskets and need to know how many pounds of torque for the head bolts?
Thanks as always for all of your help guys!!!

That would be 18 to 20 foot pounds in the following sequence.

9...10
5....6
1....2
4....3
8....7

Thank you very much Joe, they have 14 bolts each. Yes, the sequence numbers are marked on the cover itself and are as follow:

13....14
9...10
5....6
1....2
4....3
8....7
12...11

I will be working on them this afternoon with the foot/pounds specified. Thanks again.

Yea... I knew about the 14 bolts. Damn glad you didn't just throw those last 4 away. :)

For those interested on knowing the benefits of replacing the head gaskets if you haven't done so, before I had 85, 90, 90, 90 of compression, now I have 130 pounds in all 4 cyl. What a big difference.
