1988 Sears Gamefisher (Force) 7.5hp conversion

Are the Chrysler/Force 9.9/15 same bore and stroke as 7.5hp? Or is the difference in reeds, carb, and exhaust. I'd like to bump up to 9.9 if possible. Anybody ever done this on this motor? I know it has been done on the comcast 9.9/15. Thanks for any help.

I have been told by an old Chrysler guy--but I don't know how reliable the info is-- that the gamefisher 7.5 is actually a Force 9.9 simply rebadged. Sears wanted a 7.5 and Force did not want to retool for a 7.5 so they gave them a 9.9 with different decals. Don't know if it is true and usually while the block will be the same, the bore, stroke and/or port timing will be different. Carb and reed changes alone will not raise horsepower.
