1988 Seaswirl Sable W/5.7 liter OMC and King Cobra Ster Drive

I am getting my boat ready to put back in the water and am changing the raw water impeller and gaskets. The manual says to use OMC HiVis gear case lube. I am using Quicksilver high performance gear lube in the stern drive. Will this work fine for the impeller?

Oil for the impeller??
The gear oil? It has to be put in from the side.If it's put in from the bottom it won't get enough oil and burn up.
Mercury oil is ok.
Pofile? Location? You might be close to someone who can help??

Don't use gear lube on the impeller, use dish liquid as a lubricant.
Some oils can damage the rubber impellers.

Yes, the High Performance will work fine in your drive.
