Your URL send to a page that requires a password.

Since it is an OMC, take a photo of the drive.

Also, post serial numbers for the hull and the engine/drive.

It's a 1986.

Seaswirl went out of business in 2001...sold to Genmar!

Not sure what drive you have yet but my guess is a stringer drive and not the cobra. You have the black boot around the transom housing?

If it's the stringer, i hope you bought this cheap!

Re: 1988? Seaswirl

The last 2 characters indicate model year.

That picture is of the old electric shift drive which will be incompatible with what is in your seaswirl. From the post on your other thread, it looks like you have an 82 engine which seems odd to me. I have heard of the engines being off by 2 years but not 4.

I would suggest not putting the electric shift drive in your boat.

One more piece of advice. In the long run, you would be way better off selling these two boats and finding one that runs already. 4 years ago, I sold a 87 Bayliner with a 5.0L OMC Cobra that worked perfectly for $2500 to my neigbor. That boat would end up costing you less than what you are going to put into this one. On the other hand, if you are doing this as a hobby, that is another story.

Electric shift is getting impossible or expensive to get parts for.

I would look for a used drive for what you have now.
