I bought it cheap from the seller that said the motor just slowed down and then stopped.
After cooling down for 30 min he could drive the boat to a marine shop.
The shop removed the head and found that cylinder no 1 was scored.
The rest of the motor is in a good shape and it have been in fresh water for 20 years.
I would like to rebuild it if possible, if the cost is reasonable!
I'm not familiar with this type of motors, so I hope someone here can inform me how a cylinder rebuild is performed!
Is it possible to fix the scored cylinder just by a simple bore operation?
Or must a new sleeve be installde before the bore?
Must the cylinder be surface treated after the bore operation?
