Gday, Im in process of removing outboard for transom inspection. My question is how this plug disconnects. It seems real tight and wondering if I just yank it straight off ?
Also when pulling oil lines at motor do I need to open lid on reserve tank to release pressure ?
thanks for any help. Paul

Connecter pulls straight out.---------There should not be any pressure on main oil tank after motor has been stopped for a while.

Ive seen those connectors corrode together and actually pull the metal pin right out,... you may try and get some lubrication inside the boot before attempting to pull too hard, may save you a headache later.

Thanks fellas, Ill use some wd40 on connector. Ive seen other connectors with a twist and release lock , so i didnt want to risk damage.
Ive never removed an outboard before so dont want to &#$@# it up.
