I am looking at buying an '88 Valiant from a friend of mine this summer. I've used the boat quite a bit the last three years (more than him actually) and it is a good solid boat. It runs good and has been taken care of mechanically. The floor was replaced 3 years ago so that is in good shape as are the stringers. The main reason that I have not pulled the trigger yet is that the glass on the driver's side of the windshield broke this spring when he was replacing the support strut. I've been looking for a replacement but have had no luck. Has anyone else had to replace glass or have any ideas where I can get a piece. I talked to a few stores in town and they refered me to finding a dealer or going to the manufacturer (easier said than done since they are out of business).

Any ideas or suggestions would be apreciated. Thanks

As long as it's flat, just go to any glass shop. They should be able to cut one out in no time.

I had one made at Harmon glass. They even cut a piece of plexi glass for me to use while waiting for the real deal. About $160 installed.

Thanks for the info.
