1988 yamaha 200

can someone tell me what years the lower units are compatable with, will 88 lower units fit on 86 motors? thanks erik

All of the 2.6 gearcases are compatible for every year model. V-6 Specials, Excells and Pro v 150's have different gear ratios from the rest and may require a prop change to be compatible.
