Looking to buy a good engine block for a 1988 Yamaha pro 50 LG. Does anyone know if a 1989 model block will work?

You could try a google search,
I would start calling or E-mailing every Yamaha outboard mechanic nation wide somebody will finally answer the question .
If you don't mind me asking, did your block crack?
