1989 170 classic -- weight?

I own a 1989 Wellcraft 170 classic, open bow with a merc 140 hp outboard. Could anybody tell me the dry weight of this boat without the motor. Thanks.<br /><br />Gary

hi moselake ive just sold a 180 classic ive had for the past 4 years, i have the total weight burried in some paperwork someplace i will dig it up and let you know may give you some point of reference....one thing for sure though they are a heavy boat, really tough and strong though!!

my 180 including the engine (140 merc inboard) was a shade over two tonnes...

thanks guys for the info. im going to re-prop the motor to get more speed. how fast did you go with your 180. my speedo says im going 30mph at max rpm. my prop doesnt show the pitch, got wore off. between the boat weight, 1100lbs and motor weight approx 400 lbs, 1500lbs total, good to know the total weight of the boat/motor package. thanks again.
