1989 5.7 Temp question

Can anybody tell me what the normal temperature increase should be when going from planeing speed then back down to idle?
I notice that I normally run in the 155 to 160 degrees at planeing speed and I get a temp increase to around 170 to 175 degrees at idle when I come off plane.
I understand that getting a temp increase when coming off plane is normal, but I just want to make sure I am within normal ranges.
1989 5.7 Cobra drive.

Sounds normal to me.

It will get a heat surge. If it continues to run warmer at idle you may need to replace the impeller. (see tag line)
