1989 85 hp problem????

Just got my boat back two weeks ago from Shop and was going to use it today. Go figure!!!! it did not urn over. I have Water pump replaced and a tune up at the shop.<br />Tried to start it today and it would not turn over. Backfired a couple of time but would not run. Bulb is hard..... What should I try before calling the dealer back? As always you guys have been great....THanks

Verify the plug wires are connected to the correct plugs. Did the motor run before you took it in? If not what were the symptoms and does the work ticket tell you what they did to it?

Everything worked great.... Tech even said it was in great running condition.....Just doesnt seem to be getting any fuel, starter is working fine but just wont start. Engine was tilted 1/2 way for about 2 weeks....Could rain be a problem? Why would it backfire? Possibly be flooded? if it is how long does it take to drain? Thanks for the help......

If the motor is back firing it is getting gas. If the motor was running good before you brought it in you should take it back. If you start messing with it they may not stand behind their warrenty. If they removed the flywheel and for some reason the flywheel key broke this would cause the problem you are seeing. Reversed plug wires can do the same. Take it back and have them look at it is the safest bet.
