The motor has been completely rebuilt. First test drive hard intermittent banging that shook the whole boat. Removed lower unit, had it inspected, results showed in good condition. Recommended adjusting linkage. Banging reduced to minor bumping. Mechanic readjusted and bumping worse.
Also, engine will not run in neutral, making it very hard to shift into gear. Replace shift cable? Thanks for any help!

The L-drive may be a long term headache.----In my opinion you might get rid of it , sooner the better.

A FORCE outboard mounted inside the hull.-----Apparently they won awards with this gimmick.-----Has not proved popular !!

Not to be too obtuse, but what in the world is an L drive?
Bayliners on creation at taking an outboard and morphing it to an I/O. Drive parts are NLA, most of the e gine parts are NLA

Was an idea worse than the Mercruiser 470
