Just starting to prepare my Bayliner capri for another great season here in Canada. For some reason bayliner back in 1989 decided that people do not need trim gauges at the dashboard and did not install them. However, I believe that the trim position sender is installed at the drive assembly...

Now did anyone had experience of installing a trim gauge on this kind of a boat? Thanks for the help.

Setup: 1989 Bayliner Capri 1750 OMC 2.3 Cobra

Ayuh,.... Personally, I find the trim gauge the most useless gauge, but if ya want one,....

Buy it, put it in yer dash, 'n run the wirin' to the sender,....
The gauge will have a 12v terminal, 'n the sender terminal,... Nothin' to it,...
It may also have a light, 'n ground,...

No Title

2 wire to the sender.
I think the Cobras came with the sender installed on the transom assy.#86
Your might already have it installed. Look on the transom assy.
Look under the dash it might already have a lead for the trim sender wrapped up in the wiring loom.
Bayliner saved money by not putting a gauge on the dash.
