Re: 1989 chrysler impeller replacement

I have an '88 Force 125 that I replaced the impeller on for the first time this past week. It was pretty easy. Asuming that they are similar enough I can help. Have you ever taken off a lower unit before? Are you close enough to a marina to get parts? I called one of our local marinas and asked them if they had an impeller for mine and they looked it up and sold it to me. My motor and serial numbers are located below the 'head' of the motor, on the outside on a white tag between the 'leg' of the motor and the boat.<br />Mic

Hello fish4food. You will need to post your model number for that motor. Force built several different model 125 that year

No, I haven't done this before but I am pretty handy mechanical wise. The model is 1254A9A and the serial is 1091. We also do have two marinas here to probably order parts.

I dont see a listing for that number. Are you sure it is not a 1254A9B. That is the closet number I can find. If so the impeller is 18-3065 and they sell them at Iboats. Click on mega mall on top then click search. type in 18-3065

I dont have a force so hopefully someone else can help. Go to the top of this screen and click on the red search. type in force impeller or remove lower unit force. You really should get a manual. It makes it a lot easier. There is another style impeller for the 1989 force. Maybe go to a local merc marina and see if they can get you an impeller. They probably sell manuals there as well
