Hi I have a 1989 evinrude 30 hp. I cant seem to get it to idle for me. When I first got it earlier in the ear it idled fine, always a little fussy when she was cold but once warm it ran fine. Now it will not stay idleing, it will run sputter then backfire. Once you give it some gas its fine, and it will run from wide open right down to almost a troll speed fine but once put in neutral or to low it backfires and shuts down. I replaced the spark plugs, and had the carb apart, the carb was clean all the jets where clear. I tried adjusting the low speed mixture because i was told that was normally due to running to lean, but that didnt help at all. Now im pretty much stumped, any ideas??
