I just got this boat and this is the motor that is on it. The impeller hasnt been changed in 2 1/2 years. I want to go ahead and do that. The biggest motor I have worked on up to this point is a 25hp.

I dont have a manual yet, but I was wondering if its basically the same procedure for changing out the impeller.

unbolt the lower, disconnect shift linkage and pull apart. Then get into the water pump and do the impeller change out, and then reverse the directions?

or do the bigger motors have more steps, or things to disconnect.

thanks

Just don't forget the trim tab above the prop. There is a bolt under it that you also need to disconnect, as well as the other bolt above the prop that holds it together. I believe there are a total of 6 bolts: 2 on each side, and 2 in the back.
I was just working on my 1993 60hp 3cyl, so they're practically the same engine.
