I just purchased a used 89 tracker Pro-v 16 with a 40 hp evinrude/tracker 40HP electric tilt/trim took it to the lake today and when i went to back it off the trailer the motor would pop up out of the water. pulled back up the ramp and tried to get it locked but could not.
How do i get this motor to lock down in place? I see that there is a cable that appears to be possible broken located on the starboard side of the motor mount that goes to a hydraulic cylinder is this cable something that is keeping it from working? Is there a way to just lock it down in place?
