Re: 1989 FORCE 125 NEED HELP
Hi, sorry i cant help with the Engine problem, but i do know about the Tilt/Trim

I have the same motor and have worked a bit on the TnT.

You have a small hydraulic ram in the centre of your Outboard bracket, under the motor ( you can see it when the motor is Tilted up ) This is the Trim Ram and it only extends a few inches. This is what gives you your Trim adjustment in the water. When it is fully extended the Hydraulic pressure goes into the Tilt ram, which is the ram on the outside of the bracket, this gives you your tilt.

The Hydraulic Pump has a safety overload, and will not, unless adjusted, give enough pressure to the Tilt Ram to overcome the forward thrust of being in gear and so will only travel to the limit of the Trim Ram.

If you were mad, you could prove this by putting your motor in reverse, giving some revs, and trying to tilt your motor up. In this scenario, the prop would be helping the Tilt Ram instead of opposing it and the motor should all but fly out of the water ( This is NOT recommended )
