Does anyone know if the inlet valve seats on the 1989 125hp Force carb is a press in, screw in or is it made as part of the carb? The inlet valve looks to be brass so Im guessing press in, there's no screw driver slot in it!
Inlet needles are rubber tipped so do the inlet valve seats really ever need to be changed being made of brass?
I beleive the carbs are Tillotson but not sure! How can I tell?
Thanks!

Even if it does not say Tillotsen cast into the body of the carb, I am reasonably certain it is manufactured by them. TC stamped into the carb flange probably stands for Tillotsen carburetor.

The seat is pressed in and the correct procedure to remove it is to remove th needle then thread a lag screw into the seat. pull until it comes out. They are not re-usable.

Factory recommends replacing them, but they need to recommend a complete rebuild to ensure performance. I believe you should be able to see if the seats need replacing just by looking into them, what with rubber tipped needles.
