Hello everyone, here is the deal My buddy has a 125hp force that has a problem. When the engine is running you can hold your hand on the block,so I know its getting water. But if you shut it off you cannot put your hand on top of the flywheel cause its smoking hot. He said he took it to the lake, it ran fine for about an hour then he shut it off and it was having a hard time to start back up. But if the engine sets for a while it will start and run no problem. So could this be an electrical problem and if so what, cause I have an 85hp force and my flywheel does not get hot at all!!

I'm wondering if the flywheel was replaced at some time with the wrong one and is contacting the stator causing the flywheel to heat up.
If the stator were getting the kind of juice to get the flywheel that hot it looks like it would burn out the stator. max!
