Hey all back once again for so expert advice by now you should all know my engine verrrry well LOL! I went A local dealer and asked him if there was any way to really know if I was getting adaquate water flow for cooling in my engine? I have always been an evinrude guy so a tell tale was a question that I had. He advised me to remove the stainless plug in the top of the head and insert a hose barb connect a hose and try it out...so I did. The only thing that I am getting at Idle is steam, with the motor runnung in a barrel. Rev it up a bit I get a steady stream of water for a few minutes? Does this sound right to you? An evinrude would **** water a little more consistantly! Tell me what you think. Again thanks in advance Stuart

I'm not sure about that motor, but you may have to wait for the thermostat to open befor water will flow thru that plug upening.

Might want to put in a new thermostat.

I did replace the thermostat, and that is a very good thought.....As always thank you roscoe for the thought.
