1989 Johnson 40Vro Prop question

Hey all, before you rib me about this question the answer is YES I did look in the archives for an answer before I presented it to the world of knowledge LOL.
What should my 40 run at WOT (rpm).. I need more top end and more hole shot...is this possible? Let me know what you all think.

You can have one or the other, not both. 5000-5500 RPM and it has a rev limit at 6100 or 6200

true, hole-shot and top end are usually mutually exclusive but if your setup isn't optimal you might could still improve both.
