hey guys, I’ve been unsuccessful in my attempts to locate a used non rebuilt power head.

Anyone know where I might be able to find one?
I live in Delaware so anywhere in the PA,NJ,MD areas would be greatly appreciated.
Or somewhere that would ship to me.

Try the outboard salvage yards at the beginning of the outboard forum.

Yeah, I’ve called them all to no avail. Tim’s said they will call me back if they do but so far no luck.
ebay doesn’t have my year either.
I’ve called every boat yard within a 100 miles of me.

Figured there might be a guy who knows a guy who has one laying in the backyard

It does not need to be an exact year replacement.-----There are 50 hp and 70 hp models in those years and later that are the same.---The shop where you normally buy your oil / sparkplugs would help you with this.-----If you buy your supplies at Wall Mart you may be out of luck.

I actually called and had a buddy local to there check but no luck.

I ended up finding a place selling used non-refurb powerheads in virginia which is a bit of a drive and they wanted 1500 for it.....which needless to say is ridiculous(because you can buy remanufactured for 1200ish) so i wont be doing that.

Racerone, I wish brother. This whole powerhead thing has really put a damper on my spring fishing. Im thinking about buying someone elses broken motor that i can get cheap and attempting a repair that i can get parts to.

Might be a case of better to stick with the devil you know but i dont want to spend alot to get this motor repaired only to have something else go wrong.

Thanks again for all the helps guys.

Faztbullet, I wish I would have seen it sooner. Sold before I had a shot. Thanks for looking around brother.

I’m going to look at a 93 90hp Yamaha 2 stroke this weekend, I hope that’s not sacrilege to say on here. But thanks for all the help guys, this forum has been the most I’ve ever posted in any forum(usually I just read) and you guys have been very cool and the most help.

If any of you are ever in Delaware, shoot me a message because I definitely owe you a beer.
