The engine will smoke somewhat when first fired up each day till the engine warms up. Also slightly when first started throughout the day. Once warmed up the engine should not smoke excessively. If the thermostats in the heads are stuck open, the engine will run cooler than normal-causing the engine to smoke more-due to poor combustion. Certain oils many smoke more than others. Make sure you are running a good grade of marine TCWIII oil.
