I have a 1989 Maxum (17ft) with a 85HP Force 3cl, the motor is bad and I have been told that it will be at least $1500 to fix. I would like to replace this motor with something else. Is there anything else that will work on it...can I put a higher HP motor on this boat? I REALLY appreciate any help!

I have this boat i love it. was a lemmon took alot of work to get it to where it is now
