force 150 hp. #2 cylinder has a groove in it. this boat has been sitting up for 3 years. how difficult would it be to rebuild it myself. i have mechanical experience and can rebuild automotive motors. where can i get the cheapest parts. i'm thinking about getting a manuel and tearing it down. boat shop in my area want $2500 to 3,000 just to rebuild motor.

Pretty easy compared to an auto engine.

Parts will run from $700-$1000, and a few hundred to have the mill work done.

Get yourself a CLYMER repair manual and have at it.
