1989 Suzuki DT 115 coughs at 2000 rpm

MY 1989 115hp starts to break up at 2000 rpm and the rev limter light comes on .when you rev the motor in netural it is fine.

hello<br /> memory is failing. <br /> but I belive in 1989 you have an oil flow alarm. the sensor is n the line from the oil tank to the pump. if it triggers it will light the lamp and go into power reduction.I have a book someplace but I have not been to the shop in some days. the sensor also has a filter. if the filter clogs it senses a vacum in the oil line and interrupts ign. <br /> the sensor filter can be cleaned.look at the oil line. if it has a square plastic part with 2 wires it has the flow sensor
