I just replaced my transom and 90% of my floor. I have laid my carpet and decided that since I'm paranoid about water in my hull ( transom repair nightmare), I took the double sink out to look around and check for leaks. I found two black hoses that head toward the stern and and I'm not sure where they are headed. I did not see them when I had the floor mostly out. What do I do to make sure I have a safe and reliable drain? I took a hose and pumped just a bit of water through one hose in hopes to see it come out into the bilge but no such luck. Any ideas?

Not sure if you figured this out already, but on mine (1991) the two hoses ran back between the port side stringers around to a cavity just in front of the fuel tank, where I'm assuming they emptied so the water could run into the bilge. They were about 4 feet long. Hope this helps.

Hopefully Thompson didn't do what Bayliner did (does?) My head sink and shower drained into a separate sealed sump area. There was a pump in the sump, but was run by a manual switch on the wall in the head. The pump discharges through a dedicated thru-hull rather than being directed to the bilge. The galley sink drains through a thru-hull fitting directly. (And so will the sink in the head when I'm done)

If I decide to put a shower back in, it'll drain to a tank instead of a sump. That was just a silly idea.

It turns out my sink does what Thompson 255's does. we don't use the sink so whatever i guess.
