1989 Ultranaucs Star-jet 1250

Hello All

I just got a 89 JetStar 1250. with a 1990 Suzuki motor, Does anybody know where the ser# is on the motor?

I am looking for the basic stuff like a owners or even better a service manual on the boat and engine.

Also I`m looking for parts such as steering and forward/reverse cable and rubber boots

I tried CPC and deckjetwatercraft web sites and there is no links to click on for parts? do you have to call?

Where is the bilge pump? and how do I get to it?

What ever info y`all can give me is awesome.

Iboats forum doesnt have a sell/swap/trade/giveaway section for members to deal w new or used parts, and Solicitation is prohibited.

Also, as a rule, its best not to post email addresses on an open forum. Esp when posted to communicate w other members. Closed communication via email negates the whole purpose of an open forum: a free and open discuasion thats becomes a resource for others.

There may have been an owners manual w the boat originally, but it covered only the most basic of info like the front pointy end is the bow, and the flat back end w a prop is the transom/stern. Not much use to you now.

There was likely never a service manual of any sort for the boat.

Not familiar w the Suzuki OBs, but find the serial#/year and hp and get a service manual for it, it does exist and can be helpful.

And which is it? You list it both ways Jetstar or Star Jet. 1 way in the title, the other in your poat......

a simple google search will get you a few other restoration threads on other forums (below)

many posts of people looking for a manual that does not exist.

you have a 31 year old mini jet boat that was made in minimal numbers and has no real parts support. beyond that, it was designed with a 10 year design life. so fast forward to today, parts may be dang near impossible to find.

the motor is a modified Suzuki DT60 shared in the Ultranautics manufactured Wetbike (sold thru Suzuki) and Sea Flash

I suggest if this is a boat you plan on working on, at a minimum join the jetboaters thread and PM the few that mention they have a parts manual on PDF (see second JB thread link below)

ok thanks for the info JBcurt and Scott. looks like finding parts is going to be fun. but I really don't need much thank goodness.. I found a parts and owners manual so that is a big help. its crazy when I had a 1970 ashcraft bow ridder I found much more information on it then this 19 year newer Ultranautics 1250.
looks like it will be hard to find people who have or have had one of these jet star boats.
I guess the other boat forums allow someone to ask for parts?
