A person with good mechanical skills, a GENUINE service manual and some care can do a rebuild at home, make sure everything is extra clean, all seals ,gaskets and bearings are replaced, use the correct sealents recommended in the manual and your set. Now for the killer, make sure you find out why it failed in the first place, or a second rebuild will be in your future.
