I own a 1987 19.6 foot Wellcraft 196 Elite XL. It has the 200hp V8.
I am having problems with getting the engine to engage when I hit the throttle in either forward or reverse.
I know that there are threaded adjustment bars for the throttle cables at the engine and I have tried adjusting these with a great deal of fiddling and this has provided some temporary relief, however the problem eventually returns.
I would appreciate if anyone has any suggestions.
