Hey guys. I just purchased an 84 bass track. It has a 75hp chrystler on it. I checked the trim on it last night and it worked perfect! Then I took it to my mechanic to have some motor work done. I have a (transom saver ) boom stick that hold motor while driving. My mechanic told me to go up on the tilt trim. So I did that appartley the outboard saver stick was on there tight! So the motor was struggling to go up. Well the pressure metal piece popped out on the trim motor. Apparently when there is to much pressure it will pop out. We only found 2 pieces and couldn't find the snap ring. One of the metal pieces have a whole drilled through it with some orings the other is a little piece that goes on the end. Well we put it all back together filled it with 10-30 and now the up part is mega slow and won't stay up. When I go down it works great for just a push then stops. I hope this makes sense. What do I do?

Ok guys doing major research I believe its the check valve that popped out. After we reinstalled it ( with no spring) never saw one come out. He had me go up and down.
Up: goes super super slow then falls back down slow holds sometimes.
Down: goes down for a split second then stops . press down on trim again same thing.
How do I know if we blew something or what's replaceable? I don't wanna buy a new valve body and something else be broke. Your thoughts?

The crack on the mount might get worse.
.Getting a new housing or reservoir might be needed along with the hyd. pump.
Someone might have the spring you need???

I was planning to weld the mount. Is there a part number for that spring?

Did you bleed the cylinders when you refilled the reservoir? The reservior can not hold the required amount of oil to completely fill the tile and trim cylinders. You must raise the unit untill it stops and add more oil. Then do it again. Do this until you can not add any more oil. Next, cycle the tilt/trim through several full up-full down cycles. The cylinders will self bleed.Refill the reservoir.

Ok so I bought another tilt trim motor and bottom valve unit. Its doing the same damn thing. It won't lift it or drop it. This is driving me insane. If someone could call to help that would be great. It won't lift at all . Tony 559-246-4982
