1990 115 johnson trim pump issue

Got a bad trim pump motor. How in the world do I change it? Seems simple right, only 3 bolts.....that are impossible to get to!!

Do i have to take the motor off of the boat or something???? PLEASE HELP!!!

Fast trak or old style trim system? With the old style, you should be able to remove the 3 bolts on each side and the ram tube(i think) all with the motor on the boat. Just support it on the tilt supports before you do any wrenching.

The whole system should slide right out in you hands(20 lbs) and then you can get to your trim motor.
