My Alarm Came On The Other Night After A 30 Minute Boat Ride. Got The Boat Back To The Dock Quickly With No Damage. I Went To Take The Boat Out Of The Water A Couple Of Days Later, started It Up And Now The Impeller Was Pumping The Water Fine. Left Engine Running For About 30 Minutes And The Alarm Did Not Go Off. Any Ideas Would Be Apprciated.
A WEEK LATER I WENT TO TAKE OUT MY BOAT. STARTED THE MOTOR AND IR WAS PUMPING WATER OUT . LEFT RUNNING FOR 30 MIN AND NO ALARM. TWO DAYS LATE WENT TO GO OUT ,LET IDLE AT THE DOCK FOR FIVE MIN AND THE ALARM WENT OFF AGAIN BUR THERE IS PLENTY OF WATER BEING PUMPED.WHAT ELSE COULDIT BE??????

May have just been a temporary clog somewhere that cleared by itself. If it's been a while since your last impeller change, may just want to do that to be safe. Withe the key on, ground the temp sensor lead just to make sure that the alarm still goes off and that it didn't just die. My buzzer itself was dead, so even if I was too hot, it wasn't going off.

when you left it running, was it just idling or was the engine under load(ie in gear on the open water)...perhaps in neutral and idle it doea not over heat...but in gear and under load your impellar might not be doing the trick. test the buzzer and also change your impellar...its cheap enough to elliminate it.
